KYIV, UKRAINE, 29 April 2021 – World Trade Center Kyiv (WTC Kyiv) will partner with the Ukrainian Association of District and Regional Councils to improve the conditions for local development across the country. The memorandum of cooperation and partnership was signed by Henry Shterenberg, President of WTC Kyiv, and Sergey Ivanovich Chernov, President of the Ukrainian Association of District and Regional Councils, yesterday in Kyiv.
“I firmly believe that Ukraine’s future economic growth rests on the shoulders of its smaller cities and communities,” said Henry Shterenberg, President, WTC Kyiv. “We are building an Economy of Trust for Ukraine, and this agreement with district and regional councils makes it a truly national project, opening the door to kickstarting local economies.”
The agreement will see both parties promote the improvement of conditions for regional and local development, train representatives of local governments in investment projects, and assist local governing bodies to establish public-private partnerships to tackle infrastructure improvement and local development.
The Ukrainian Association of District and Regional Councils is an all-Ukrainian organization representing local government bodies across the country.
